Over time, dhoku’s distinctive approach to handmade rugs and textile design has been recognized through international awards, cultural platforms, and leading publications, reflecting a growing presence within the wider landscape of contemporary design.

dhoku is featured in the Louis Vuitton City Guide, The New York Times, and Architectual Digest and is regularly recognized by international publications as one of the Istanbul’s design destinations, noted  for its transparent, ethical, and customer oriented approach.

Culturel Presence

dhoku contributes to contemporary culture through exhibitions, collaborations, and interdisciplinary projects that position textile within a broader creative context.

dhoku has been invited on multiple occasions to contribure to the Istanbul Design Biennial, and a range of exhibitions and cultural initiatives  collaborating with curators and internationally recognized designers and artists including Ayşe Birsel, Koray Özgen, Filip Pagowski, and Ela Cindoruk. 

Dialogues in Craft & Design

Word renowned ceramic artist Alev Ebüzziya Siesbyre, whose work spans Istanbul, Copenhagen, Paris, and major European design houses such as Royal Copenhagen and Rosenthal, collaborated with dhoku on a series of kilims bringing her distinctive language into  contemporary weaving.

Crafted from natural wool and vegetable dyes, the pieces reflect a dialogue between ceramic form and tradiitonal Anatolian weaving.
